A custom orthotic is a device designed to align the foot and ankle into its most anatomically efficient position. Orthotics are similar to insoles, but with specialized biomechanical abilities that are custom made to try and correct specific foot imbalances. You can think of custom orthotics like eye glasses - they reduce stress and strain by bringing feet back into proper alignment.
